Default building a 408/402

i just ordered my ls2 bolck. im going to use a 242/248 .608-.612 on 110 cam, not sure what heads going to go with yet. what kind of rwhp are you guys getting from these h/c 408s? and any advice on some heads? thanks

Well I never had it on the dyno. I street tuned it with a wideband and with logs showing 1.16g/cyl at 6400 I was pulling around 67lb/min of air.

A little math and bench racing puts that at 570 at the crank. I was going to upgrade the cam to the other larger one and dyno it. But this other project came up

Either way... 408 and AFR225s are a proven combo. Plus it's all assembled with killer gaskets and other goodies. I also have a set of shaft mount jesels I could throw in.

possibly. for the right price. They have .650 PRC duals and ti retainers. <2k mi.
