With ZERO tuning the LS7 Monte SS rocks the dyno rollers with 487/470 RWHP/RWTQ!
I made three "break-in" runs on the chassis dyno this morning to ensure that the rings are fully seated even though I know the motor is run at GM for 20 minutes when first assembled.
The results were awesome considering that I have no ability to tune the motor yet since I am still working with HP Tuners on cracking the LS7 PCM for swap applications.
What is really phenomenal here is that unlike the production LS7 Z06 motors, I am running an 85MM LS6 screened MAF which has to be restricting the intake on a motor of this size since I have a 90mm TB. Couple that we a rich 12.6 A/F and no ability to tweak the timing and you know 500+ RWHP is just waiting for me Once the HPT software is working for my application I plan to go to speed density tuning and get rid of the MAF entirely.
Just as a point of clarification for those that will ask:
