Default Mizfit's LS7 427!!! 607 rwhp!!!!

Well we are finishing up tuning our customers LS1 427 with LS7 top end in a F-body. My scanner is being a pain in the a$$ so the graph will be up soon.

CAR MADE:607 RWHP
547 RWTQ

This is some awesome power for a 12 bolt, completely fresh motor with heavy wheels and tires, and being a daily driver.

The Car specs are:

Basicly the customer bought our Turnkey 427 LS7 package
91 octane
MAF tuning
11:5:1 compression
Cam ???? ( a secret right now)
lightly ported Heads on intake and exhaust
UMI TB
Full Suspension
K-member
A-arms
Tunnel mount TQ arm with DS Loop
Pan Hard
LCA
3 point SFC
Moser 12 bolt 4:10's w/ABS
17 X 9.5 ZR1's front
17 X 11 ZR1's rear w 315's
Built Tranny
Spec stage 3
Custom Drive Shaft
True Duals out the back
Kooks Headers
EWP

We will be doing some more tuning and hopefully between that and breaking the motor in we can see even more power but this car was built to be a daily driver and that is exactly what it is. This is a completely streetable car that is putting down some amazing numbers. We are also taking it to the track soon to she was she lays down.

607 rwhp 547 rwtq!!!!!!!!!!

11:5:1 and you can run 91 octane! Wow... great numbers as well.

Nice numbers!!!! 100 more rwhp than my 402, that's nuts!!! High compression and 91 is ok, just no timing, I can only get away with 20 degrees on 91 right now

Thanks Taylor (Mizfit Motorsports) for all the hard work you have done on my car. We were shooting for 550 rwhp so you suprised the sht out of me with 607 rwhp, now i just have to wait for the car to get shipped to my house so i can drive it and get some 1/4 mile times.

Very nice guys! I too am expecting big numbers out of my ls7 top end...the seat of pants meter feels good. I do know it REVS now, holy crap, and flat out eats on the big end.

Could you post a picture of the dyno curve, so that we can see its characteristics?

that is a good gain with the LS7 top end. LG did 624 rwhp with similar mods in a C6 Z06 except they did minor port job on the exhuast runners of the heads only as they said.

how much room is there for improvement in the Ls7 heads and how much does it matter? they are already ultra badass from the factory

there is definitely improvement.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-internal-engine/498895-ls7-top-end-conversion-complete.html

they are ultra badass from the factory...for a head that has to last 100k miles, deal with heat/low octane etc. a talented head ported can wake them up, and they will really shine, we will see lots of 600+ cars with work done on the heads.

Sorry guys I will figure out this scanner thing sooner or later but we are going to be going out to the track and back to the dyno. We will try and post a video clip. As far as the heads we think there is room for good improvements on these. Also greg we are looking into an LS7 Sheet Metal Manifold. If we can't post pics up of the duals then maybe Chris can we he gets the car back.

An ls7 sheet metal intake would be awesome. Very nice numbers also.

IMO, a sheet metal intake could be worth 40+ hp! I'd be all over that. My heads flowed 392, and 367 with the intake on. In most hodrodders worlds, intakes do not decrease head flow. The GM manifold, again, has to appeal to the masses...good mileage, 'usable' torque range, cheap to produce etc.

I agree. I might have mizfits build my new motor if they come out with a ls7 sheet metal intake.

Well since tuning this car we have noticed that you may be right greg. It sounds like your heads flow a ton glad to hear that. Will see about the intake.
