well, i dont want to give exact #'s because i know with an auto, ect dyno numbers dont mean much, plus its a heavy weight n2o motor, so it wasnt made to make high power na, but with 22* of timming, it made over 450, and over 550 rwtq
so im sure with more tunning on the motor side 500 and 600 tq would be a decent goal, but i was tunning for spray

the only secret spec is the cam, everything else is basic stuff. some custom ordered, but basic.
its a ls2 block cleaned up by east side, line honed bla bla bla.
eagle 4" crack, lunati rods, custom N2O dimond pistion, hell fire rings, all balanced ect by esp.

stock rockers, afr heads, dual springs, comp lifters, and a custom grind ESP nitrous cam!
threw a power glide tranny.

car isnt real streetable, its more of a race car, but the motor is 100% streetable, with the esp tune in the car now, it idles perfect at about 700- 800 rpm, rev's WICKED FAST!!!! this is an animal even off the spray it took me for a fun ride

another esp 402!!!

you will love it. just dont pay attention to the dyno.

its a fun ride with my n2o tune up, i can imagine the ride with a motor tune up and the extra 50-80 rwhp

I'll know soon. I don't think that the cam that's gonna go in my car will be as radical as the one in yours, but it will have a motor tune in it, so I'm gusssing it will be closer to another 30 to 40 hp, not 50 to 80, and the th400 will probably eat some more then the glide does, so I am not expecting a dyno # at this point, hoping, but not expecting. I'll let the timeslip/trapspeed do the talking, not the hp from a dyno sheet. You'll probably never even hear me say what it made for power.

I agree, that's the only reason that mine's going on. I'll ask Ken what it made, only to compare it to the other ones that he has done... but with the TH400 I knwo it's only partially relative. Be a good comparison to your car and gary's car, to see what mine makes on motor in comparison to your car and his.. because at least then we're comparing similar dirvetrain's... but then again that's not even realyl relative because I'll have a motor tune.

Screw dyno #'s, I'll figure out what it's making for power with the old trusty slide rule when I see the trap speed, and what the pig weigh's on the scale.

ESP does build some great motors

i have the same motor as your old one and with less compresion, stock heads, heavy internals, and a f13 it made 392 to the wheels through a 12 bolt...and on spray the motor comes alive

they know what they are doing over there...oh and they tune well also

Glad I got to see that motor go on your truck at the shop! If my h/c ls1 ever pops, a NA 402 is definately its replacement.

Gratz on the setup!

I just finished tuning mine NA as well......same displacement as yours but TEA headed W2W 402. I literally made about 150 more rwhp than my old 346 did LOL....I wish I would have built a big cube motor to begin with!!!!!

but the dyno too me means nothing, but its a good gauge. weather and god pending, we will find out how she runs this saturday. only one system do to technical difficulties (being handle by my n2onow) but i hope to run it this weekend

Good luck man!

I'm doing a little nitrous dynoing over the next week, then it's to the track....Finally. I have 1 year invested in this setup.....would have been much less if I would have farmed out the fabrication.....I'm too stubborn I guess lol.
