Thanks for the info Steve.

Well now that would make sense lol. Guess its cometic!!

And as well, BIG news, a little birdy told me that custom pistons were actually already ordered for my build and that they may actually be sitting here in Clinton Township...so the 446ci build may still be a GO!

I will find out for sure on Monday, and if that is the case, then I will have all the parts for my build by sometime this week and I will be driving it all to Dave Diluca for him to build. So praying to the good Lord, I may have this engine by late next week...

Once again, thanks to everyone who has PM'ed me and helped with tracking down parts for the build. ITS been very good and makes me appreciate everyone very much...

Best Regards to all and God Speed,
Adrian

Default back ordered

You are absolutely correct on the stock LS7 gaskets being on back order. My wholesale accounts called me about what gaskets to use on my big bore blocks over a month ago. The LS7 gasket is a nice piece if you can get them.

The Cometics are available in differing thicknesses to take care of variations in piston to head clearance.

Thanks for the update Steve!

Turns out that I was unable to track down those pistons, so I'm going for a 427 now! I just got back from getting a set of Diamond LS1 4.125 pistons and associated components. Now all I need to do is wait on that block and a crank and I've got everything I need for the engine build!!

Rollin Black, I have PM'ed you!

Well, to update everyone, I've gotten everything I need on order now! It should all be here by Thursday, and off to Toronto I go to get the engine built. I predict it'll hit the rollers be next weekend after a get a little bit of driveability tuning going. Since I'm not building such a large CI motor, the new numbers I'm shooting for is 560hp 510 rwtrq which I think will be doable!!

Thanks for everyones help!! I'll keep this all updated with new information as I get it!

Best Regards,
Adrian

Well, I finally got everything in I need for the build! Luck has been with me this whole week as I've ordered things and they've been in stock haha. I'm going tomorrow morning to meet up with Dave and get this baby by next weekend!! Only thing I'm missing is the cam, but that'll be here soon. =D

Here are some teaser pics of the parts! The LS7 fuel rail polishes quite nicely to a chrome like finish

Best Regards,
Adrian

I definitely can't wait, you have no idea...I also leave for Iraq in 27 days and counting lol. So, I'm running a tight schedule.

What cam are you running that you made that power with? Is that 675 hp at the wheels?

What is your exact combo? I heard you say once before that you had all Warhawk stuff....

ANother Update: Parts made it over safely and I had a quick look, everything is looking good. Block goes out for machining on Monday, as well as the rotating for balancing. Hopefully everything is done by Wednesday and that leaves a good couple of days for assembly. Might just get her back next weekend Adrian!
