Cool Cam for a 402

Cam For 402
I'm looking to upgrade to a 402 LS2 block/engine. I would like advise on cams- Now, I'm looking for a very streetable not bummpy cam! I'm looking to make as much torque down low and mid range with a good top end hp... I'm not looking to make peak hp or have a dyno queen.....

I'm looking to keep my LS6 intake & Patriot head, will this hurt much too much.... How much would a Fast 90/90 set add in the torque/HP department?
How much torque/hp would the cams you guys are recommending make?

Thanks

I have pretty much the same set with you 402 ,ls6 intake, patriot ls2 stage 2 heads . I was running a 226/226 112 cam and it put out 473 rwhp and 490 rwtq. I then switched over to a 230/234 114 and loss a little hp and quite a bit of tq. (470 rwhp - 470 rwtq) I have been told that the ls6 intake is now the bottle neck in my set up. I plan on testing out a fast 90/90 to see what will happen. hoping to get about 490 rwhp. As for now the car is very streetable at low rpm. good luck with your choice.
Just rember bigger is not always better .

Does anyone have a video or sound clip of their 402 at idle and/or reving???? This would help since "good idle" is very subjective.....
Jhong321, intresting on the 226/226 LSA 112 with the hp & tq numbers..... I was looking at a 228/228 LSA 114, but then have been told to go higher to the 232/236 LSA 114; however I'm concerned about the idle quality..... What lift do you have with this cam???
Thanks!!!

Cam in sig with A4 on my 408. Made 500TRQ all threw, very flat TRQ curve. Also runs and idles awsome! I could be making more power, but the LSX intake is choking my ET heads bad on [eak power. Working on that now.

Default Katech CTS-V Cam

Hi: What about the Ktech CTS-V cam that was designed for a 427 in a Caddy CTS-V. Read an article in a magazine it is suppose to idle good and be smog legal. It is a 226/226 116 with 585 lift using 1.85 rockers. Don't know of any one is using it. Maybe give them a call about it.

Hey thanks bud. It is a camotion cam. 244/250 .630" lift on a 114+4 LSA. I got it through LME when they built the 408. The cam is VERY streetable. I am sorting out some converter/transmission issues so the power output is TBD.
