It was pretty much determined by all the cam experts on this board that that is not the correct cam for the 402 due to where the valve events happen. I figured that I would just swap it out as it was the recommended mate for my new setup. Maybe someone else can give a more technical explanation.

I hope to be close to 500 RWHP once my AFR is right. I am buying an LM1 Wideband from a buddy of mine tomorrow.

It´s easy, advance the cam and you move the torque band dovn the rpms,
and retard the cam and you move the torque band up.
If you have to move the cam more than 6-7 degrees, then you have the wrong cam.

What's going on with your new AFR 205's??

You have had the heads almost a month already!!

(sorry to slightly hijack Carlos's thread!)

Looking foward to some results....hopefully it's a when the smoke clears. Don't forget these heads might want a completely different fueling and spark table to maximize their performance.

Rambo, I PM'ed you BTW.

Regards,
Tony

Feel free to PM me and let me know whats happening...

Hey Tony (AFR),

Do you hand port the FAST intake or do you use a CNC program to do the porting?

I can vouch for Tony on this...although he ports the FAST intakes by hand, he basically has a bionic arm and can duplicate the ports as well as a CNC machine. They are truly a work of art. I'm not sure how he does it, but the results are definitely worth the money!

I hope his arms doesn't wear out before I'm ready to buy/get one done!

Maybe have it CNC'd and then hand finished to save his arms.

I have a Mamofied FAST 90 / NW 90 TB. Tony does a excellent job and it is well worth the extra money to have him hand port it.

I have been so busy working that I still haven't been able to get my hands on that WBO2 or to do any kind of tuning or driving of the car. Maybe this weekend.

I have been following a few of your threads with your 402 builds and just curious if you have any new numbers or updates with the new cam and intake. I am basically in the same situation as you, just trying to figure out what cam I want to switch over to.

Latest update is that I did finally get my hands on the WBO2 but my buddy did not give me the serial cable with it that I need in order to setup the voltage correctly in order to log thru HPT and the EGR connector. I hope to have this tomorrow. I have been fighting the 98' KR bug also.

Prior to this delay, I had another delay where I snapped 2 of the studs in my rear right wheel. I had to wait for the new longer/harder wheel studs to arrive. Since I was going to be jacking the car up in the rear to get the new studs in, I ordered a new pan hard bar and some tubular lower control arms (fixed the clearance problems with my 15X10 wheels and my 325 50 15 rear tires).

what springs would i have to run in order to run this cam? or is this a solid roller set up?

im looking real hard at the dart 225 head milled .030 and .030 cometic gaskets on my LS2 403..... as of right now static compression is 10.8:1 if i were to reuse my stock LS6 heads unmilled. im repeating what i can remember from what the builder told me. diamond pistons -2cc with valve relief cuts that make the pistons -11cc i believe, id have to double check.

Those are Comp LSK hydraulic lobes. You'll need to run a good spring like a Comp 921 shimmed to within .050" of coil bind.

I am running the standard AFR spring. Not the upgraded ones.

who is cutting this cam or has???

i think i am going to run it. i have seen you suggest this a number of times and suggested it to me in a previous thread a couple of months ago.

what about running less lift, what changes would be made to the duration if any?

the shop that built my short block, suggested running .608/.621 242/250 112+4, with their CNC LS6 heads
