Default TSP 402 Texas Giant #'s

Hey guys, I finally got the bugs worked out and made it to the dyno today. The numbers aren't great but considering I have small headers, PRC heads and my Fast intake isn't ported I am pretty pleased. The motor only has 250 miles on it so its still pretty tight and it was probably 90+ degrees in the shop when it was on the dyno. The rest of my setup is in my sig.
Numbers
463rwhp/426rwtq closed cutout
497rwhp/448rwtq open cutout
Yes that is a 34rwhp gain with the cutout
This is proof of how restrictive Flowmaster's are

The numbers aren't great???? ****, any time you get to 500 rwhp, your doin good. For the mods, I think the numbers are outstanding.

I am pretty happy with the numbers but can you believe the difference the cutout made. Flowmaster sucks other than the great sound.

I was hoping for a little higher numbers as well but my car was throwing a ton of false knock so we decided to play it safe on the tune to save an expensive motor.

Man, I would expect more torque? I have the same cam in my 422ci LS6 and although I put up decent numbers 518 / 483, I would think a cam this size would do a little better. I waz expecting in the 530 / 500 range. I might change out the cam and see how it does. I'm going through a 90 / 90 and kooks 1 7/8, I just dont have a pulley. hmm.

do you have your graph? I had a small dip in the RPM right around 2500rpm that we couldn't seem to get rid of.

I think that the magic stick is closer to the T-RAK. The Texas Giant is a little bigger and is made for stroker motors. Here are the specs 248/254, .611"/.613" on a 113Lsa.

your right, the #'s are not great. but, they are not all that bad either. 500hp is pretty stout to have on tap of the right foot.
