did it not have it in the dyno posted on page one? Would this increase the RPM band?

The dyno on the first page is without the advance. It increases torque about 6 lb-ft and sacrifices about 4hp.

Sorry to bother with stupid question but is there now "new" torquer cam vs older without added advance?

Wow, this thread is back from the dead.

The new torquer cam is the one with 4 degrees advance built in.

Thumbs up

I just got my car dynoed today at Virginia Speed and Ed said it made 520 rwhp with the original torquer cam.

I switched to the torquer cam after having a 243/253 on a 113 with .650 or so lift. The Torquer Cam completely transformed my 427 ls7. It has so much more torque now that you can't even compair the two. Its like a whole different engine and MUCH more enjoyabel to drive on the street now.

I drive my car 99% on the street and feel as though this is an excellent cam and worked exactly as advertised. I have never felt a drop off at high RPM (rarely go that high anyway), and the driveability is very much improved.

Just my 2 cents, but now that this thread is back, I just wanted to give my thumbs up!!!

I was trying to figure out what DCR the torquer would put a stock LS7 at, but then i remembered that you guys use proprietary lobes. What DCR does the torquer put a stock LS7 at? I'm guessing well above 9.1

no?

I'm getting a couple different numbers using two different calculators, so I'll just give you that data. IVC is 36 deg. ABDC and the rod length is 6.067.

Default Final dyno

After switching to a PowrMax 100mm MAF, Ed at Virginia Speed churned out these final numbers.

Remember this is through a Ford 9inch with 3.70 gears.

The engine is a 430 with 11.5 to 1 compression and a ported intake and etb.
