Default LS7 Head Gasket Thickness?

Anyone know the compressed thickness of the GM LS7 head gaskets? I plan on using LS7 heads and rockers on my motor, so I figure if I have the same thickness gaskets then I can use the LS7 pushrods as well and not worry about getting custom length pushrods. Also, will LS1 head gaskets work with LS7 heads on an LS1 block? I imagine they would, just want to make sure. Thanks!

I have a set of OEM LS7 head gaskets on the shelf and they appear to look just like the OEM LS6 ones that I have.

Can you measure the thickness of them? Do they have the same bore as the LS6 gaskets too? Thanks John!

The LS7 gaskets appear to be the same uncompressed thickness ~0.055" thick but the bore on the LS7 gasket is larger at 4.150".

That thickness would be perfect to get my 11:1 SCR, and the bore will work great too. You wouldn't happen to have the part number for the LS7 head gaskets would you? Thanks again!

Unfortunately I can't find my receipt and the P/N isn't stamped on the head gasket...all it says is 7.0L, sorry. Call Brian at SDPC, he'll have it and can get them for you.

Found it! 12582179, about $50 from dealer each, and $30.18 from SDPC. They are priced very well and the specs on them are perfect. They are also MLS I believe.

No, we've been getting some parts. A lot of stuff is on backorder though.

be careful with pushrod length if you use an aftermarket cam. it will probably have a different base circle.
