L76 will work fine but I'm not sure if you'll get your 550rwhp with the Torquer cam. We've made 604bhp on a L76/L92 combo with a more aggressive cam. We plan on doing more testing with the new Torquer L92 cam.

You can stick with your C5's MAF. Its not going to make much of a difference.
Thanks, I'll start the hunt for LS7 top end.. We can work on the details later..

Damn you, Bink. I always wanted the gmpp ls6 heads and now you gotta link these.

Seriously - ya gotta love all the cool ls7 parts coming out. Great numbers on them...

Jason/Katech....

Can you recommend any individual throttle body setups for this engine? Are we stuck with using the C5-R heads and intake setup if we want something approaching a turnkey solution? Personally, I'd prefer to go with LS7 heads and the Harrop, but there seems to be very few people who've been successful running the Harrop on the ls1/ls6...

Thanks,
Dan

Hopefully 2008 will bring more solutions for IR manifolds. If you can wait, it may be worth it. As you know IR manifolds can be very pricey (~$5000), but there is a niche market for them.

So, we have to use LS7 pistons to work with the LS7 heads?

Jason, Do you have dyno graph of this cam with similar setup engine?

Jason, Do you main stud this Value 427 Short Block or use the factory torque-to-yield fastener design? If you use the factory TTY fastener's, how much power can they take before giving up? Have you had any type of failure using these fastener's?

We use GM main studs/bolts unless the customer requests to upgrade to ARP. We've never failed a main stud.

Gm stage III 233/276 .595 107lsa
Torquer 220/244 .615/.648 110lsa
No dyno sheet with torquer? Looks like 2 fairly different cams..

Could I use my current cam and stock heads on this setup until I got enough money for bigger and better heads? Just curious!
