Default 06 GTO upgrade advise

thinking of going with the SLP LT's with downpipes with high flow cats, and the SLP X crossover loudmouth . looking for suggestions on a cam, still streetable, and some roller rockers. Car is stock now. Also need info on what size the air intake is and the throttlebody. Should I have it ported or put on a fast 90 setup?
Wanted to get the LS2 up to around 500 rwhp. All suggestions welcome.

To get to that level you are going to need some good heads and a fairly aggressive cam. As to the stock intake or the fast 90, there has been some debate over that. some say that once the LS2 is ported it can reach the same level as the fast. To get to that level though, you would have to have the fast ported anyway. 500 rwhp is not easy to get to but it can be done. I don't think you woulod need the roller rockers, some stock rebuids from harland shop should be plenty. Hope this helps.

You should go to www.ls2gto.com and make a post there in the engine section.

A sponsor over there is claiming this with all the supporting mods.

"2005 GTO - stock shortblock - 243*-247*-112*-.629"-.629" - ETP 225 - Kooks Headers - FAST - 513+ RWHP"

The stock LS2 intake/throttle body is 90mm. If you are going cam only you can leave the stock LS2 intake, porting doesn't do much, I have heard of 10-15 rwhp gains from porting and tuning most of which came from the tuning. cam only you are looking at around 430ish max with a streetable cam from what I have seen, so if you want 500 rwhp you are going to need some good flowing heads to match the cam and at that point the FAST 90 will be a good upgrade.

someone already suggested LS2GTO.com, there are a ton of LS2 cam posts over there from the various sponsors, personally I am leaning towards the F14 from Futral Motorsports here, but there are a lot of choices out there.

Should go in Saturday. I'm back to the LS6 intake/TB. Going to try the ported LS2 intake and Holley 90mm TB before going up to another FAST 90.

A cam and headers will sound BAD *** but will make less power than a simple dry nitrous system. Adding a simple $500.00 NOS Dry Nitrous kit to your stock car will save you lots of money in the long run.

SLP makes some cool performance packs also.
