Warhawk Progress
I'm told in three weeks or less we'll have the 220 runner 64cc LS1X head to ship out. Close to that time I'll post the final as-cast flow numbers. The protos we've had for testing have been tweeked several times. The final version is almost ready.
The dyno mule (427 size) has not run yet as we're haggling over parts selection. Work is ongoing.
9.24 deck blocks are getting close but I have no final date yet.

I'll check the price sheet in AM and post here.
Thanks all for asking.
The 9.24, 4.115 block with billet caps and sleeves is $4600. The 3 required covers are $298, all prices, sugg. retail. Head studs are not mentioned here.
Stang,
I'm still hearing Nov. for the LS7X head.
Assembled short pricing:
The 427,9.24 deck short: $6895 sugg. retail.
The 454,9.80 deck short: $6995 sugg. retail.
The 481,9.80 deck short: $7495 sugg. retail.
T.S. said they'll be available end of November, is that still holding true?
.
How much more could Lunati, Cola, Ross, Manley, etc....parts cost? Another $1,000-$2,000 for the short-block.
.
Most recent pics are of the LS1X heads taken last week and posted on my "First Warhawk Release" thread. Can't take any more pics as the Engine Masters Challenge is going on here this week. More to come soon after.
Quickin,
Our shorts will have Eagle cranks and rods and Mahle / Manley pistons and pins. The assembled heads will have Manley Racemaster or Severe Duty valves.
Be advised that we do not consider Eagle rotating parts to be "junk". We use them in our BBC crates to 900 HP. We have not had a single warranty claim which named Eagle cranks or rods as the cause. If they were junk, we'd be bankrupt on claims considering the number of engines we build using them. (all our engines). If they were costing us money, they wouldn't be part of our product line.
The other fine mfgs. you name should be considered if you're building above 1000 HP as that's custom parts territory - but for the performance and price, it's hard to fault Eagle.
Finally, yes the OE LS heads will work on our block.
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
I'd never say "never" but initailly that's not in the plans. Again, we're just trying to get parts out right now and these preliminary combinations.
The big power folks are best served by buying our bare or prepped block and then carefully tailoring their component choice to meet their power levels. It's a very "individual" process and the rest of our product line has been geared to the more mass market.
can you give me the bore length of the 9.24 block is it longer then ls2 or ls7 with darton 5.800 long sleeve im concerned how much piston skirt will leave the bore on bdc with a 4.250 crank
The sleeve length in the 9.24 is 5.380". The 9.8 deck uses a 5.967" sleeve.
We do not build our 454 (4.250" crank) in the 9.24-we use the 9.8 for that and the 481.
