Default what parts for a 470bhp ls2???

Hi guys,

Just wondered what sort of mods people have done to get around 470bhp from an ls2.

im ideally looking for a fairly cheap way of doing it and if possible without having to split the engine in half to change bits. i got this power from an ls6 with an exhaust, induction, a set of 1.8 lifters, some new management and some ported heads. But im not to familiar with options for the ls2. would still be using aftermarket and well designed induction, exhaust and management but not to sure on how to approach the other areas needed for this gain

Any help much appreciated

You're referring to flywheel hp correct? Then all you need is a cam and spring swap. Lots of guys are making 440 rwhp cam only with the LS2.

Same principles apply for the LS2 as the LS6. You can almost get to 400 rwhp with LT's and a tune.

I was about to say the same thing. You shouldnt even have to open the motor up to get that amount of power. Headers, some type of air induction, pulley and tunning should get you there all day.

There was an engine dyno posted by a guy named Steve (I think) where he made 472hp with headers using a stock LS2.
