Default Lunati 60512 cam?

Anybody using it? 232/238@.050, .599/.601, 113+4. I'm going to swap from an XE-R and wondering how it works. Thanks!

Lunati cams have very slow lobe profiles. You'd notice a drop in low to mid rpm TQ and maybe gain a few HP up top due to the bigger advertised duration. If yu want something diffrent, look into the comp LSK's.

A head with good mid lift flow will possibly make more power with the slower ramp speed Lunati cam due to the head flowing in the mid range, and the slower ramp speed cam has better dynamic stability and will make more power up top.

It's the Voodoo series cam, it's only got 50* difference between .050" numbers and advertised duration, that seems pretty quick to me.. am I wrong?

Your not wrong. I was unaware that Lunati had a line that was that quick. I've heard of some of the Voodo cams, but haven't seen the full specs. By those specs, it's ALMOST a G5X2. Should be a proven performer.

I've got the 60511 and a set of 1.85 rollers (puts the lift at around .615 or so) paired with the Patriot stage 2 LS6 heads (2.055in and 1.57ex).

It's a nice setup... the valvetrain is a little noisy due to the comp's but it run's like a beast and the midrange is great.

Yeah the Voodoo Line is Lunati's quick ramp up slow ramp down cam line...

What does comp call their asymmetrical lobes..i.e.-> " quick ramp up slow ramp down "???
Are the XER and LSK symmetrical??
