the one that is leaking slightly i believe is slightly backed out farther than the left one. its an allen headed screw. and i wanted to make sure it wasnt loctite'd on before turning on it with a allen key.
heres a pic:

thanks for any help!
Why would you take out screws of something you have no idea about? There are many things can go wrong. It could be a piece thats not supposed to be taken apart. Or it may need to be torqued to a certain specification. It might have vaccum or fluid behind it. My advice would be to not disturb it.

Onto the note of helping him FIX HIS PROBLEM, take the screw out, dab some thread sealer and screw it back in, thats if you can get to it. Those screws go into the ports that feed the sump. If you were to look in the pan you would know what I mean. It has a rail that comes from the front to the back since the filter is relocated in the front on GTO pans.
unreal, what a moron. Open your uneducated eyes and READ for crying out loud.
I was never going to "take them out", since when is "turning on something", taking it out. Find another thread to be negative on. You must have amazing social skills, what a great fellow human being you are ****. Go try to boost your post numbers somewhere else.
240sx, thanks for the info. I was under the car checking after a recent oil change, thats when I saw the residue, not burnt on, but fresh. Felt it, it was oily, so decided to snap some shots and see if anyone could identify it as a problem. I will check it out in more detail tomorrow, and post an update. Thanks again..

You can use those ports as an oil pressure reference also. They just run via hardline inside the pan to the front oil filter.
