Guess it depends upon how much power you are planning to make!?!?

LS7 clutch/LS2 flywheel should be one to research up to about 500rwhp.

What is your budget and what do you plan to use the car for?

I went with the new RAM Dual Street clutch for my 402. I currently run the LS7 clutch in my 460 RWHP 346 and it's been great but I dont think it would last long in the 402.

I think the dual disk clutch will be the last one I have to buy for this car.

I'm running a Spec V and put about 30 hard launching passes on it. The clutch has been flawless so far. I'm also running a bone stock M6 trans and it seems to be holding the power of my 402 and a 200 shot fine.

So basicly the Spec stage 5 is working well? How well is it on the street? And what about a Stage 3 or 4 not powerfull enough or what do you think?

I had a spec 3 in the car and it failed after about 6 months and 4-5 trips to the track. I then put an RPS unit in the car and it lasted about the same amount of time. Both of those units where good to drive on the street. The spec 5 is an aggressive clutch, it chirps a little when you take off from a stop because of the iron disk. It does take some time getting used to, but overall it is the best clutch I have ever had in the car in terms of durablity and performance.
If you do decide on the spec 5 make sure you get your flywheel and clutch assembly match balanced before you install it. Having them balanced as a unit cuts down on vibration that can lead to a premature clutch faliure. Hope that helps.

I have a Cartek that is left over from my old engine and it seems great with the 402.

yup I was on the LS7 for that 11.3 pass... but it was also the first time out with the new motor. The textralia with billit steel flywheel was 15lbs lighter than the LS7 setup. I loved the 7 clutch but it wouldnt hold the power on shifts at the track.....

I'm using the Mcleod Street Twin. It has its down falls but has never let me down yet. It has a couple 1.4x 60's and lots of 1.5's using Hoosier QTP's. I'm currently using a 150 shot on top of my 506rwhp but now my diff is the weakest link, broke twice in 5 weeks. I have a new gear in it and we will see how that works out next week.

I have heard that Exedy has a twin and a triple disk available.
