if you know about carbs, help please! Sorry in advance if i'm not suppose to be doing this, but i had a bad carb ( variable venturi ) in my 89 toyota tercel, so i bought a new one and slapped it on. The car will start now, but won't stay running acts like it's not getting gas or something. I'm at a loss, could my vacuum lines be messed up. 90% sure they are correct, but i'm now doubting myself!...HELP PLEASE

What else could be wrong???? It's a Toyota Turdcell that's what's wrong with it.
Don't mean to bust your *****....just being funny....but did you notice that the name of this site is "LS1 Tech" and that you are in the "LS2-LS7-L92 engine" section? Not the Toyota Rice Carbed Tech section.
You won't get any kind of reasonable answer here.

Guys, he has an LS car but is just looking for some help on another car. I am sure someone on here can help the guy out. I wish I knew how to help you out dude but I am sure someone on here won't be a dick and will head you in the right direction.
try resetting ecm the 89 should be a computer controlled carb make sure everythings plugged up.its possible to get a bad carb also.good luck.ive not been on here long but have found alot of d**ks that would rather **** you off than help.just double check everything and try disconecting battery ton reset ecm
carb problem some of these motors had an electrical idle control valve that may either be unplugged or simply plugged up. It is not uncommon for them to fail. The car will start and rev up OK but will not idle smoothly and die. Not sure if this fits your symptoms or not.
