I don't want to hedge a guess. Perhaps Kurt has an idea of how much and when. I am sure he will join in this weekend with some info. I believe this block will be the ticket for big power in race applications, but not sure about its practicality for street use.

Well put it this way..

when I asked about the lsx block on the dart website I was told about 6k for the block.

Considering you most likely wont need to spend another 2 or 3k to fix a supposed ready to run block I think the price is right =)

LOL you have to overhaul the CNC machine by the time that block get done. Every tool would be gone. I bet that is 1 week of machine time. so cool though! I bet the conversational code or G code whatever they used for that bitch is a mile long.

Dart will have a block at PRI in Orlando for everyone to see.
The price is not set in stone yet, but it will be over 6000.
How big will it go, hmmmm, never thought about that. The deck is available as tall as you want it, so over 500ci would be a snap. The main reason for the block would be more geared towards high hp builds that require ultimate strength with reasonable weight. No blocks currently fill this need.

How do the water jackets get machined? Just wondering how material is removed from around the cylinders without removing deck material.

The jackets are machined from the sides, then plates with o-rings cover and seal the water in.
