Anyone for a billet LSx block? (eye candy within)

Wow, that's some beautiful work. Thanks for the pictures.
If they're taking too much space up in the shop, you can feel free to send me one. Heck, I'll spring for shipping.
It will be interesting to see the performance pulled out of these. The LSx world just keeps getting more and more interesting.

I've been waiting fot a while for this to come out
I want to build a big cube 540 + twin turbo @ 30psi
Do you think it will handle extreme boost better than the new GM Iron LSX block. It has the extra head bolt provisions to keep the head from lifting at extreme pressures ?

Can I special order the Billet Dart block that way ?
If you are still looking for a test car I have some great ideas for my C6.

The block can be ordered in any configuration you need. The 6 bolts around each cylinder we already have, but you would need a higher deck height. The deck can be ordered to your specs.

I just noticed the second pic , one of the blocks shown has the 6 head bolt provision.
Can I get that block now ?
Besides my intake. Will all my other LS2 parts swap over . Ex. timing cover, rear cover, valley cover, sensors brackets etc.

The 6 bolt block is sold. I can order exactly what you want from Dart, the only downside is the waiting!!!
Most parts swap from a stock engine or come with the block.

This is lighter than we had anticipated!!

A 6 bolt block will take 6-8 weeks and cost 6,800.00 dollars. A tall deck block has not been made yet, so I am not sure of time or price, but it can be made.

I can't believe all this engineering going into LSx's right now, I would say the last six months or so have been an extremely exciting time for these engines. Suddenly the HP limitations of the LSx have jumped exponentially. God damn, this is why i have been slaving for the last few years studying to one day become an engineer and work for companies like DART. This stuff is truly amazing!!!
P.S. DART do you do internships???

What exactly is 'billet'? Is it a material stronger than forged aluminum? Is it just an aluminum slab thats been cut and carved by a machine? It seems to me billet item are paired with strength.

Billet is a fully machined part. This started life as a forged block of aluminum, unlike a normal block that is cast or poured aluminum.
I attached a few pictures of the current block we are working on.

The block is 119 fully dressed, the factory alum blocks vary depending on year/type, but I would say they are between 105-115.
