We deal with motors too, infact have one going on the dyno monday, 402 high compression, ET 245 heads, fast 90/90

L92 heads maybe the budget wonder head everyone hopes for, the numbers are stacked against it though, exhaust flow numbers, combustion chamber, 15* valve angle. I've only seen one build with thoes heads, dyno'd low, buts that only 1 car that had 10 other issues.

Default 402 as a winter project

I have the 402 sitting in the garage. I just ordered a TR TRAK cam, L76 intake and L92 heads.

I'm going to give the heads to a local guy to have him mill them, install dual springs, and clean up the bowls and exhaust.

I'm hoping to see 500rwhp/500rwtq after the tune

Merry xmas to me.

I will be building L92/L76 combo on C6 z51 Vette, current mods: Long tube headers with high flow cats, x-pipe, corsa sports, haltech cold air intake, electric water pump, msd wires, low temp. thermostat 170 and tune. Presently runs great. I expect about 500-550 rwhp., with cam, milling, and porting while at the same time maintaining good driveability. Will be doing this once the bugs are worked out and tuners have different packages available. Let the price wars begin.

To WKMCD I've been following your build like many others, anyway I'm glad you got the intake issue resolved and thanks for shareing your experiance, trials and tribulations. I can't wait till you get it tuned, dynoed, and running for a full report. Good Luck. Also I know you can't go into details regarding the cam but can you give us general guide lines i.e. duration verse lobe seperation etc., once again speaking in general terms and not specific to your cam, just as a general guide.

Thanks ahead of time buddy.

Thanks. I've shared every other aspect of the build but in respect to Bret Bauer - at his request - I won't discuss the cam.

Looks like we're going with a 4.155" bore, 3.75" stroke for 406CI. Lunati crank, Carrillo rods... should be entertaining.
