It is the intake and exhaust durations that Lingenfelter uses for their in-house LS-7 cam. I just tightened up the centerlines and put a slightly more aggressive lobe profile (XE-R) than they use.

My 447ci will certainly have over 600, so we'll have to change his shop name.

4L80E no less, it'll happen. Just gotta use the right engine builder, one that doesn't say, "oh, that can't be done." Unfortunately that seems to be the saying around here now.

If LGM can get 623 RWHP using the LS7 intake, which is cheezy compared to an ITB intake (good for 30-40 hp) and with 20 more cubes than their 427 (which is good for around 20-30 hp when built right) and a little more compression.......... I think 600+ RWHP will be easy.

Gotta at least think positive.

What I find interesting here is that LPE typically will use this cam with CAT's.....
LPE LS1, LS2 Camshafts 350-383-427 229/242 .631/.631 w 1.7 rocker 114 CL
I find it interesting that their LS7 cam, given the tremendous intake bias, would use a duration number so close to the intake duration when planning to use CATs!

By the way, those are pretty strong numbers given the fact that you have CATs and stock exhaust!

My dyno is very reasonable, and certainly not the highest in town. Been down that road before

If he is happy with it, thats all that matters. I have customers that come in and want to buy wheels and floor mats for their Z06s. They are happy with the hp it has stock!

I bought that 229/242 LPE cam you referred to months before I even had the Z06 because I thought it would be a great fit. Then, I came across the durations they were actually using for the LS7. A little counterintuitive.

Getting e-mail replies from sponsors seems to be a thing of the past. Maybe you'll get lucky.

i am building a 434 stroker, ls7 heads ( hoping they will flow similar to your guys heads), a 260-268 hydraulic cam on a 110 lsa .660 lift, running gm ti valves and morel lifters. ported ls7, and 13.5 compression ( 103 octane motor), you guys think i can eclipse the 600 rwhp barrier?

Of course it just cant be true. I'm sure you have lots of personal proof that the car didnt actualy put down such numbers.

559 is great. Maybe HPE can elaborate of the other LS7's and the power they make to show the consistency. The vette docs/LG...ect, have done quite a few and I doubt they falsify all of their results.

5) Jeremy Formato ported intake manifold and HPE ported tb

7) Tune by Chuck at HPE

RWHP: 559 (452 stock)
RWTQ: 504 (424 stock) Dynojet

Power comes on really strong at 3000 and pulls to 6800 where it slightly dips to 7100. Exactly what I wanted. Sounds mean as hell. HPE are really good guys to deal with. Steven, Chuck and Josh thanks. I'll see if they can post the graph.

Nice #s! I find it interesting too because I've seen the LS2 6.0 with upgraded cam, headers and intake running mid 500 whp range. Don't get me wrong the new Z06 is one heck of a car but the extra price tag(20k+) doesn't justify what can be done to a base C6.(Gearing,susp. and brakes, etc) Which can be made even more of "Sleeper" if thats possible in the first place. lol I rest my case.

Been covered before, those ls2 #s were flywheel #'s not rwhp. You also get way more than just the engine with the Z06 over the base car. All aluminum frame, better brakes, etc.
