edit: i see what you are talking about. the ls7 has much more meat in the cylinder walls compared to the other.
Exactly...... I would'nt be boring out the L92 block at all.

but at 433 the L92 is hard to beat for the money, everybit of 550 plus at the wheels, and if it turns out to be reliable, what a deal. I may have to change to the bigger crank when it comes time to assemble my engine.

Needless to say I am ecstatic with the results with the new engine... So far the engine has demonstrated its durability in these extreme road racing conditions. Technically the L92 is a Cadillac engine so I guess I have a Cadillac powered Corvette...

Very cool SHIRL, congrats on the track record and the fact that your new engine combo is off to a great start. I will be interested to see how much punishment and how long this engine will last and I am confident that you will be quite successful with this set-up and I hope that is the case!!
