+1 For Erik. He built my 383 and when the time comes for a 4xx ci, I'll contract him again.

Cartek built my 408. It's a nitrous built motor but I have run a best of 10.2 without the gas and 60''s in the low 1.3's consistently.

LME built the 416 going in my car I did a lot of searches and everything I was reading about LME was positive so my vote goes for them.

After you guys talk to all of the other builders, just before you place the order with one of them, give Erik a call. I will almost guarantee you, you will give Erik the order. Most of these other companies don't actually build the engines they farm them out. Talk to the guy that actually physically builds them.

Not LME. Building motors is all they do and from what I hear/read they do it quite well. But likewise I have heard nothing but good things about Eriks shortblocks.

IMO picking between LME & HKracing is like picking which hot chick to have a party with at the Bunny ranch in Nevada. No matter which one you choose you'll end up with a big smile on your face.

Both LME and ERIK of HK are great choices for sure and can't go wrong with either one of them and yes, LME does all their engine building in house just like ERIK does!

And now I learn even more out about those AHOLES.. I ordered and payed for Texas Speeds PRC 6.0 stage 3 heads. After pulling the heads and noticeing there was LOTS of play with the intake vlv. That guide was all screwed up. SO me thinking its the PRCs I call TEXAS SPEED and talked to Jon R. and he helped me out and passed me on to the techs and I told them what was up and what heads I thought they where. SO the machine shop here PM@E in Hawaii pulled the vlvs out and had Patriot stamped on them as I am talking to TSP and so I find out that those arent the heads I spent the money for. The vlvs where 2.02 vs what the stage 3s would be at 2.08. Needless to say I am pissed and I am going to OKC. These guys at FFHP whom at first where totally great to deal with but now knowing that they Screwed people over in so many more ways than 1 is BS. I am glad that they went under. At first I felt bad for them and understood but now they got what they deserved. So I have Patriot heads and a short block that was built by only god knows who now.

I am torn between a 408/ nitrous or a 347/procharger...........either way Erik Koenig will be my builder of choice.

A little late getting in on this one, but yes Erik with HK Enterprises is as good as they come and has a track record to prove it.

There are some good choices available so I would not experiment with that kind of $$ if I were you.

Good luck!!!
