Yes you are right I would say in my opinion.
The LS7 block has longer sleeves but weaker cylinders right at the top for big NOS. The LSX has short cylinders for an engine with really big stroke so too seperate problems.
It always depends. People that give you a simple answer usually don't know what they are doing.
The normal deck height engines are hard to get more than 4.000 stroke and have a strong piston.
The tall deck engines will be a diferent story.

Racer7088,
I just bought a brand new L92 bare block. I want to build a 427 ci motor. What rotating assembly do you reccommend for a build like this? I also plan on spraying a 150 shot for the track.
Thanks.

Depends on heads. I sell some L92 based rotating assemblies but am gone on vacation till this weekend. It would depend on the heads. You CAN spray a 150 on the ones we do but they are not made for NOS abuse at all. I would run the 416/418 if you want NOS.

I currently have ETP 215 heads on my LS1. I was considering sending them back to ET for the 225 program. They want to charge me $1500 for this service. I was also considering GMPP cnc L92's for around the same price.
