Exactly the point I have been trying to make.

I can't say enough that what Kevin and company are doing here is kickass and extremely diffucult(SP). They are basically doing R&D for the aftermarket applications for these setups, (along with some others, 2c5s for example)

Start slow and then ramp it up

IMO I think you would be better off with an aftermarket cathedral casting.Just my opinion

Sorry Kevin, Back on topic

I noticed that I'm picking up some small black soot specs on the rear of the car. Looks like it's a little fat. Probably a little left on the table.

I'll get Ed to check it out and lean it up a little.

Tail pipes are a little sooty. I think it may just be a matter of .3-.4 fat. Maybe I'll come down so we can do it on the dyno.

Don't know if I'd go by that...my car is pretty much dead nuts on the A/F ratio I want, and my tail pipes still end up a little sooty from time to time.

Yeah, a little sooty is normal. We'll scan it and run it with wideband.

If you want to bring it down, that would be great! Save me a trip!

I know when it was doing it with the 346, Phil leaned it up a little and it went away and the car ran a little stronger.

IMO, the car should be in speed density mode for this setup. Throttle response will be crisper and low speed/low throttle position will also improve. Are you using EFI live or HPT to tune?

Ed uses HPT. It's in OL MAF right now.

My point about the 8k was that they should be stable on my car with a rev limiter set at 6800 which I seldom approach. The only reason it's set that high is so I don't hit it in 1st and 2nd all the time. It get's there pretty quick.

Hey Kevin. After driving the car for a while now what are your impressions on the head and cam upgrade? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The car is still just a blast to drive. I've used it to commute a bunch of times and it's about like stock in bumper to bumper traffic. Ed has to take care of some cold startup stuff next time we get together but after a few minutes it's perfect. I actually think I could stand a little more cam/lift and not loose drivability. Probably something that would bumped the DCR a little with lsa. I'm really waiting for results from the shortened runner L76. If they are good, that will be my next step.

Thanks again Richard.
