Hey guys rookie here what can u tell me about these cam specs

227.227 .629/.629 lsa 116.

what could i expect. I have AE headers with Vararam intake. Pleae let me know.

Is this on a C6 with an LS2? Automatic or 6 speed? Tell us more about your mods and your goals.

Yes C6 six speed. I want a stealth silent killer. LOl. I have 1 3/4 Ae headers and Vararam intak with corsa's. thats it. Plan to install ARF heads as well 205 non milled.

Why not go with one of the quiet cams thats already out like a stealth, cheater, or old man cam?

Since you have headers already, you can go a little larger on the intake lobe and a little smaller on the exhaust (compared to the CheaTR cam).

For pure stealth, you may not want the high intensity XE-R or LSK lobes. They are very loud, but they will make a ton of power. If you want performance-stealth, then the faster-ramped cams will make more power with less overlap (lope).

The AFR 224/228 .581/.588 114LSA +1 cam uses Comp XE-R lobes and has proven itself to be a very capable performer with the mods you have. In an LS2, it would be very stealthy (outside of the sewing machine sound from the valves, LOL).

You should mill the heads at least to 62cc (with .040 Cometic head gasket results in about 11:1 compression) for as much compression as possible for the octane you plan to run. Giving up free torque/HP if you don't and leave the chambers at 66cc. Potentially 10-20 ft/lbs tq.

Then if you need to mill then additionally to 60/58cc down the line to clean up the mating surface (if you blow a head gasket or rebuild the engine) and get even a bit more compression.

Listen to PatrickG... he knows cams. You should search under his name for what cams he tried out and their delivered power range.
