L92 Chambers

I know that the L92 Heads from the Factory are ~70cc Chambers. I just got mine milled down .025(25 thousanths), anyone have a chart or something like that to figure out what the Chambers will be now. I figured around 66.3 by going off of what other people have posted..

Figure about 1cc for every .010 mill.

I read it was a little more than that.. I am trying to get a definate answer on it.
Someone here was a talking about how they milled theirs down .030, and they got 65cc Chambers. I was hoping that who posted that would chime in..

I thought it was for every.006 milled equalled 1 cc. But after reading the above thread I am confused. The .006 = 1cc sounds right though.

That's what I got with the LT1, but the Chambers are a little different with the LSX Heads..it does sound close though.

You're right...I shouldn't try to do two things at once...It is .006=1cc but this is just a ball park. You still need to cc the chambers.

What was the finish like on your heads before milling? I got the bare L92's, and the deck surface is a little rough than I am used to. What is normal?

I milled my L92 heads .020" and then cc'd them and they are now 66cc.

Where yours the bare castings, or the assembled heads? Both castings have a rougher than normal look to them.

The newer ones are rougher, the earlier castings are smooth. I got a old one and a new one when I got mine. The Ports and Chambers are good though..both smooth.

So do they need a finish cut before assembly? Has anyone else noticed the rough finish on the deck surface? Anyone know the price on those Manley valves for the L92?

They are smooth, but its almost like they have a slightly steeper RA to grip the gaskets or something. They are beautifully machined just slightly irregular.
