Also what rear, what kinda dyno?
What your building should be a HP/Torque monster capable of making well over 600 in a M6 car. Why not go solid roller with a cam of that size?
I would make sure you have a perfect valvetrain for this combo.
Should be nasty.

Nasty it will be...and Yes...In my A4 2005 GTO....oh and did I mention a two stage 400 shot?...Motor will be able to spin to 8000 no problem. The only problem is the E40 PCM tables only go to 7000 :-( Time for some custom tables.....

I've thought of a solid roller but am afraid I'm going to sacrifice all streetability. Even though the car will only be on the street for short cruises and shows.....Talk me out of the hyd/roller.........hehe

TIA,

I don't think there would have been a streetabality difference. But either way should be ratical.
What lifters and rockers are you using. Lifter to suppost a cam of that size turning 8000 RPM's needs to be solid.
I am sure if you bought these heads from ET they guided you towards the correct parts. I am sure they also had to upgrade your springs, and set everything up correctly. Have fun geting traction especially with that 4.25 stroke. Thats alot of stroke.

Why not go solid? It's not very much more maintenance. Hell checking valve lash takes all of half an hour once you get the hang of it. I'll be daily driving the shiz out of my car and I'm going solid roller big cube motor.

Well...It's going to be a solid roller setup. I should be able to spin this motor up to 8k rpm's however I need to talk to my friends at HP Tuners to see how to overcome the 7k RPM limitation in many of the tables to tune this beast using my stock E40 PCM....

With as much coin this little jewel is costing you, why not spring for a BS3 or a FAst XFI, and then your problem is solved.

If not, talk to Tosto. He spun his motor to 8K+ on a stock pcm.

Believe me I know about running out of money at the end of a project!!

BS3 is a toy......FAST is nice but Motec is much, much better but so is the price tag....I'm not ready to spend that kind of money just yet. I just want to get her running before the end of the season and get some idea of where I'm at......
