Thumbs up Beck's 408/LS7 Powered SSR

John (Beck intake manifolds) emailed me a couple photos of his SSR truck. It has a 408ci iron block with ETP LS7 heads, the engine was built by site sponsor LME.

Pretty cool to see something like this stuffed into a retro-rod pickup!

Wow. That is wicked looking. Paint it black and it would look like a humpback whale. Wonder what it weighs? Any specs or hp#'s on the engine itself?

Like a glove. Sure does look at home in that thing. Why didn't GM come our with something like this? Nice job.

Nice to see what John can build when he's not as space confined. He should call that the "Guppy" manifold.

Yeah ive seen it in person, and it is purdy indeed.

It would be a real nice sleeper, but the lope just gives it all away.

I kept asking for some dyno numbers, but he wasnt saying, just said it wasnt fully tuned yet.

That is a nice intake. It looks inexpensive. Anyone know what that intake runs?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe they go for around 2400+

Would also like to know more about the engine as well
