Yes, - our street build made 628HP with no issues-do we count?

Merlin, great product.....But I am refering to it installed in a car not on an engine dyno. I am wondering about engine cooling due to all that aluminum around the sleeves.

Rocket,
We make up for that with all that water around the aluminum.
A fair question though. Now admittedly a DTS dyno's cooling system never sleeps and is not dependent on engine RPM. Even after extended periods of idle while fiddling or analyzing-we've not had a hint of hi-temps. I can tell you though we have about sixty or seventy pulls on this mule and 200 is most we see on multiple rapid pulls.
A street car w/turbos may produce unwanted heat but our CAD guys had that in mind, as such a set-up may call for an aftermarket cooling system anyway.
We feel confident that even the most crowded engine bays will not affect the blocks ability to shed heat.

Nitrous will be the real test on the six head bolt blocks. After talking to a few engine buliders like kurt W2W it seems that nitrous is by far the hardest on the motors for liften heads.Im still strugling on keeping the heads down even with copper o ringed setup.Im still pushing about a 1/2 gallon a pass and im not even were i want to be on the tuneup. Can't wait to see if these blocks will hold on a big shot of nitrous.

I talked to W2W awhile ago about this and someone from sales for the Warhawk called me.They are confident the block will hold extreme hp.When I said we weree wanting to push 1400rwhp from Turbo's they said it should hold but it wasn't tested that high yet.

I hope someone pushes this thing with real power before we purchase a block for our 7 second car

Damn your pushing that much? We are running std size studs and reg cometics and havent had any signs of head lifting like that even going 9.10 on the pump fuel. How aggressive are you on the tuneup? Id try softening it up a bit with new gaskets and see if you still have the same problem. It seems like once they lift once its way easier the second time around

I think the cormpession is the killer right now we are almost at 14.1.It almost seems like we went backwards putting the copper on the motor.I thought that coppoer would have really helped put im not liking it so far.We have the motor out and were going to try somthing diffrent and see if we can keep these heads down a bit.BTW we were pushing water with a 28 dp jet and 15 degrees of timing. We pull the car back so we can read plugs and we are on a safe tuneup.

I have been fighting the same problem with lifting heads. I have tried about 6 differtent thing all except copper and orings. I have been in contact with Kurt at w2w and many other people i know in the lsx motor world. I am about 12 to1 with felpro gaskets now and L19 prototype head stud from arp that are still stock size but they are 260k psi tensile strength with a 28 in the nozzles at 19 deg. right now. I am goin to do some more testing this weekend at 14-15 deg. but so far i have still been pushing water in my over flow tank about 1 pint to a quart each pass. I am definetly goin to an lsx block next year but i want to see the alum. version before i by the cast version.

Taking timing out will help alot but also robs alot of power. We were as low as 12 degrees and was creeping up to 15 degrees before it would push to much for my liking 1/2 gallon. The true test with the world block will be nitrous because it is so vileont. If the new blocks can handle a big shot with compresion then turbo stuff should be a walk in the park.

I worked through afew things, cleaned up my tune up, alittle less timing and found out my cap didnt seal to the top of the radiator very well so i double gasketed it. and went out first pass last night and went a 5.64 @ 123 and then a 5.611 @ 124.6 1/8 mile. could barely stop the mother ------. Still pushing water in the overflow but less than a quart. and it ran pretty good.
