Awesome numbers!

I'd be happy with 575 RWHP and 550 RWTQ using a smaller cam when I build me a LSX 454.

Remember, keep the shiny side up!

The increase in power was due to more tuning, removing the MAF, building a custom piping system and adding an electric water pump.

A big shout out to Steven & Josh at Late Model Racecraft (LMR) and also Bryan at Late Model Engines (LME) for the killer shortblock.
WOW! That has to be a record for a hyd roller cam and a Fast intake.

Put a set of 4.56's in the rear and have a ton of fun with that cam.

Awesome build and thanks for sharing.

Sure we could get a better peak number with a sheet metal and all the other race car type stuff but then you lose some of the fun in my opinion. But everyone has there own personal goals. In this particular set up I think that we me them.

I know the sheetmetal giveth and the sheatmetal taketh away. Not knocking the motor in any way. Thats some serious badass there. Anybody have a dyno going from ls6/fast90 to sheetmetal?

Question..why no tuse the TFS 245 heads instead of the 235's? I assume with the cubes and cam you have, the 245's would make a little more power.

The 245's were not available at the time of this build.

625HP and 580FT-lbs of torque is great numbers, Have you thought of any type of forced induction. A Turbo would be great if you wanted to maintain some street ability.

Yeah, a turbo and 11.8:1 compression. Hell yeah!

Awesome build, actually it's way better than awesome LOL. Those are just sick NA numbers for a street car on 93 octane. Me and a friend have been tossing around the idea of going in together and doing a similar motor with a sheet metal intake and a whoooole lot of nitrous and throwing it in a Fox. Found a 81 notch with a SBC motor plate for $500 last night...

Congrats, again. Outstanding power.

Nick,

Good to hear from you after a couple of years. Congrats on getting back in the game with another F-body.

The LSX is running great and we plan to take it to Cruizin the Coast in early October.

Here is a video clip of it during break-in of the clutch, so I am not rowing the gears too hard and short shifting at 6,900 rpm.

That thing sounds sick as hell, ive just read thru all pages and am very impressed with the NA power if this combo, i was thinking the heads were going to be on the small side, but the numbers dont lie.

I have been going back and forth on weather to do a 433 L92 or 454 LSx for my Sonoma GT, and im thinking the 454 is the way to go, add a big turbo and be making all the power id ever need.

Again, thanks for sharing and keep the vids coming, id love to see it go down the track.
