Not to be argumentative, but alot of the "perfect square" hype that people are reading on the internet is just that....hype.
As for the potential oil consumption concerns: Numerous reputable builders around here have agreed that with the right ring package, a 4.1" stroke on these engines is not a problem.
I'm talking about the types of guys buying these engines. The proven performers of the hobbyist like 90% of the guys on here are gonna get better results from square or oversquare. I agree that an undersquare can do great. I almost built a 383 until I came across the right 6.0L iron block and changed my mind. But the fact is that it's been shown time and again that the bore works better for these guys like us.
No biggie. Great engine man. Glad the option is there. I hope it sells well and runs great. I'd be honored to say one outran me some day just so that we'd have more to discuss. It's all cool.
