No it won't idle anywhere near stock. As far as passing Cali smog test, I seem to remember that you need to stay around -5 degrees overlap @ .050, so something like a 224/226 115 would be more likely to pass.

This is my EXACT cam.. My car idles VERY VERY well. When I had my cam spec'd by LME and Cam Motion, I was incistant that the cam idle close to stock, with an extremely mild lope.. I couldnt be happier..
I'm not sure about CA smog laws, but my car passed the sniffer on its first try with no tricks..

Jeff, this is the build that you gave me on Corvette Forum. This seems like a super reliable setup if I do it right. I know that the LS7 cam will pass, but what would I be giving up in the HP/tq department? any guesses, Anyone?

How much would I lose by going with the LS7 cam? It is smog legal.

You will have to much valve overlap and will fail emissions.
