FINALLY done deal!! Got some education as well. 4.185 is really max bore, lsx block is on back order til march. Can you say 451 ? Muahah ah....

there is no replacment for displacment
get on the phone to world and buy a 488 rotating assy (or kit) and fit all of your existing parts to it. you will then be close to your budget and hp requirements. the only complication is you will need spacers foe the intake and modify the exhaust a bit. You can sell your existing bottom end to offset the cost.
this gives you a great platform for future mods (heads/intake etc) and big braging rites - 8 litres baby.
