An engine like that should be part of every man's constitutional rights!

My setup is close to 550, in sig. With a with one or more of these a bigger cam, EWP, no cats, ported fast, or port the heads it could reach 550 or more.

that is simple and effective. I like. Can you break it down a lil more for me. What stroker kit did you get? What part number etc were the heads? How much did it all cost? etc. Was it streetable?

thanks. I dont know many of these brand names and companies as i am new to this game. I would hate to track down the wrong ****. I want to get the most power i can that is usable. i dont want to have to rev the ***** off the thing. I like the low-mid rmp power of a killer street car.

BrianTooley,
How did you wind up with 600+ hp with just heads and cam? Was it streetable?

I made 600 and 696 RWHP back when I was using a TNT nitrous kit.

I know JeremyM is using the Trick Flow Specialties (TFS) 235 heads. I will attach a link to buy them, there is probably more information on the TFS web site. I think he may be using a 244/248 cam also. We can also sell you all of these parts, feel free to PM me or call TEA, thanks.

do you think the TF heads are a better choice then the L92 heads?
They are about half the price, but do u think the L92 heads will give u the same performance? Hell, the TF heads put him at around 600hp (motor) with a cam, thats a gain of 200hp!! I havent seen the L92 heads do that with a cam, more like 100hp.

the tfs flow more or less the same as a worked l92, however the intake runners are much smaller, which = more power, better fuel economy, throttle response etc

what is the largest i can go with a stroker kit on a LS2, 402ci? It seems the TFS235 heads get the vote (the performance seems kick ***), so i suppose cam, intake, and bottom end need to be chosen. Any ideas on the bottom end and total cost i am looking at with that setup?
Heads: $2500
cam: $300
intake: ??
Stroker bottom end: ??

a worked over fast is $850+ more than likely, and a forged bottom end (i.e. 'stroker bottom end') will be $2000-2500 for just the parts.

so i would be looking at a good chunk of change. I suppose i need to make a decision as to whether i am gonna do it all at once, or break it up into steps. Good times. I think steps would be better, other then being easier to handle financially, it would be more fun having the car get faster 3 times rather then 1 big one.

At least...550rwhp ain't gonna be a DD super friendly, parking lot stock motor either IMHO. Especially with a 238/250 split cam.

Not a DD because it idles like ****, or because it has huge *****? The huge ***** i can deal with, as i personally live every day like this.
However, i dont want a car with little low end power. I would do with less HP if it meant a big torque difference.
