Default Rookie?:On a 402ci LS2 what chamber heads do you run and?

OK pardon my stupidity but I"m trying to do as much research as possible before blowing the $$$$ BANK.
Questions is what are people running on LS2 402ci engines? Does a stock size LS6 head fit or does the 402 cubic inch call for a bigger cylinder head?

Reason i ask is i want a 402 but can't put the budget to put a really great set of heads on it yet. I'd like to just put my TSP PRC cnc'd LS6 heads on it for now.

I want to have around 11.5:1 compression ratio. Whats the LS6 chamber size/cc???

Not sure on what the chamber size is on stock ls6/243's is but stock compression is 10.5. I would talk to the company who you are buying the heads from. Tell them about your setup and the parts in your shortblock. They should be able to get the heads that meet the specs you want. You mention TSP, I am sure you they can set you up

They will work fine. I think stock ls6 heads were 65 cc. You will want to figure out your compression based on the gasket thickness, your piston cc and the deck height of the piston as well as the cc of chamber. I would also match the chambers to the larger bore but that is not necessary.

^^^ agreed. for 11:5 with around a 64 cc head you will probably wind up with a set of pistons with around a 8cc dish, give or take depending on gaskets.
