Is your LSx overheating?? HERES WHY..[PICS]
I pulled the waterpump to start a cam swap, and this is what I saw. God only knows whats inide the radiator, waterpump, and waterjackets..
What moron company would allow powdercoat to get inside the water ports???
NO, I am not having cooling issues. But just in case someone else is, it may be because the powdercoating has blocked up your system..
Machine shops: Do us shops and customers a favor and clean up the waterports PRIOR to building the motor..(even though you shouldnt have to.)

Well, on to calling GMPP....

If you still have it.....whether that is the cause, I strongly suggest switching to a "global" type coolant.
What your seeing is NOT the coolant. That is the powdercoat peeling off INSIDE my motor..
I run around 75/25 distilled/dex.
In other builds I have run EVERY combination imaginable. Where we live, the coolant isnt as necessary. Its only needed for lubrication properties.
