427's can't handle boost?

Well have read all these post and figured you are getting alot of ideas. Last july i bought a turbo z which i still have. Had a set l99 heads slightly ported polished molly forged pistons not sure on rings but not all exspensive in a stock cube block. Ls6 intake the car was on a single turbo 76mm turbo front mount with truck manifolds. Car was built conservatively but was a handfull none the less. Car dyno'd 937 to the wheels. Thats where i ran into something that made me skeptical. The stock 6.0 iron block is only rated for 1000 hp so if your shooting for that mark then you would be better off getting the lsx. Thats where i am now started with an lsx block doing a 405 stroker jumping to a 88mm turbo vic jr intake 96 lb injectors. Should easily make over the 1000 mark. Hope some of my experiences help you figure out the game plan.

I had one of the old dry sleeve motors which had leaking sleeves.. I didn't trust another sleeved motor so I bought an LS7 and boost it with a YSi. It has been in for around 2 years with no issues at all and sees around 16 lbs. It was cold today and me and a buddy were getting on it, he said it was at about 18 lbs. when it blew off an intake tube . No problems here but I'm a few 100 hp shy of the 1K mark.
