Default Speed INC Built 416CI L92 in 04 GTO

Old thread deleted because it had a title from when this was going to be a 402 and because I am whoring out Speed INC's great work...they coordinated everything including the body work.

UPDATE: 416 CI L92 w/150 shot plate kit. Just needs to be tuned now... Work done by Speed INC of Chicago.

Some of the components:

L92 Block
4" Forged Compstar Crankshaft
Compstar Connecting Rods
Diamond Pistons
Clevite Bearings
JP Performance Double Row Timing Chain
SLP Heavy Duty Oil Pump
Manley 8.1 Pushrods
ETP 245 Heads (68cc chambers)
Comp Cam 235/240 .646/.609 112
Vengeance Ported FAST 90mm Intake and NW 90mm TB
Kooks 1 7/8th LT Headers w/cats
3" Stainless Works Exhaust
4L65E LVL 5 FLT Transmission w/ Circle D triple disc torque converter
NX 150 N20 Plate Kit w/progressive controller and all the gadgets (NITRO DAVE dumdumdum!)
Standalone Fuel Cell for N20 (race gas)
BMR HD Stubs and CV Axles
BMR Subframe Connectors
CF Banshee Hood
CF Rear Bumper Insert
JHP Lip Spoiler

Built for DD duty and to go to the track 1-2 times a month during drag season.

In the future I'm going to get a 2 piece HD Driveshaft and also probably get the rear wheel wells tubbed once I get back from Iraq (leave in February again).

I'm dying right now because the car is in Chicago and I am in Arizona, hoping to have it shipped to me by the end of the month.

You will be a waiting a little while because I'm in Arizona.

However, the Goat will be heading back to Milwaukee come OCT because I'll be heading back to Iraq and my wife will be taking the Goat with her to stay with family up there.

Nice, I'm in the chitown area and am building a 416ci L92. Sounds like yours is a pretty sweet setup. Post up some numbers when you get a chance. Your cam is a lil bigger than mine and you have way better internals than me......... couldn't afford compstar crank and rods

Headers were purchased through Marlyland Speed who gets them coated through Bob @ Precision Motorsports of Florida. The coating should last, but coatings are finiky to be frank....with the price I got them for I really don't care if they fade or not.

Maryland Speed was running a special at the time and I got the coating for free.

Thanks for all the compliments, I'll post the numbers when we have them.

Anyone have a trailer they want to load this thing in and bring it down to me?

Yeah, I'm sure that will go over about just as well as when I asked my wife if I could purchase a plane ticket just to visit the Goat during your Open House.

It's like I have a mistress that isn't much of a secret.

BTW......I'm looking at CCW 505A's right now.

If I end up dead....the wife did it!

Ha ha, oops, that was the old setup just a stock LS1 with ported heads, SW exhaust and Ed Curtis 228/232 cam.

Need to remove that from the Sig.

Fraser is going to try and get it on the dyno today, if he finds a way to take a video then I should have a new one soon.

You should put down 10,000hp on speed inc's dyno. They had me at 424hp, the same set up got only 370hp on a mustang dyno a few years ago(LOL) your gto should be a monster when done. goodluck to ya.
