I've cammed both a Trv2 (232/234 113LSA) and Vindicator (240/244 114LSA) in my 408....liked them both.....so next is something right in the middle...236/240 112LSA...it sounds like you are wanting more of a street car, go with something 240 or below...

So far I am looking to get the MS3 cam which is a 237/242 .603 .609 w/ a 112 LSA. This will be pretty close to what you have in your car with a little less lift on the intake. I hope this will work good for my setup. I flowed my PRC LS6 heads and they stoped flowing past .600 lift on the intake. They did put down 305 @.600 lift on the intake side though so I am pretty happy.

I think that you will like that cam for your build. My vote is still for the 112 LSA advanced 2 degree for a 110 ICL.

is it just me or is your 1/4 mile slow and #s low for your 418cid engine?

no offense in any way...

im asking because i was gonna go with a 402 with a similar sized cam, but with a fast 90 ported and kooks it should be over 500+rwhp with a 402, m6..

i know ure a goat, but ure also a 418...

For a car you will daily drive, keep the lift under 610 if you can, I just changed the valvesprings on my 402, ans was rather surprised that after 50 track passes, probably 20 dyno pulls and 500 street miles they were pretty weak. But, I'm runnign s realtivly agressive cam with over 610 lift, I'll leave it at that.

I'd look for something in the mid 240's duration wise around 590 to 600 lift

Oh, and that gto with the 418, I dunno if the car's full weight with the safety gear it needs with the nitrous on, but if it is, that's a solid 4200 lb car at that point, so I don't think it's too much of an underachievr. Those cars are really REALLY heavy, and the drivetrain in them, is worse then a 10 bolt f body, it's a real step backwards for drag racing.

well Im sure the rearend is stronger than the 10 bolt right? BUT I do realize it eats up more rwhhp due to IRS, but the 10 bolt doesnt eatup a lot of Hp... so I wasnt sure what ure saying there. but I do understand if his times arent that fast due to weight and not hooking up with IRW or whatever. Buttt, the hp he made still seems a tad low to me. Im just wondering thats all...

I bet the IRS is just as weak as a 10 bolt, especially when you factor the weight in.

That power is about right for that size cam in an A4 through cats.

490/472

There are 402's making more HP but not more tq, especially considering the cam size.

Just remember "great drivability" is subjective and great drivability for weekend use and as a daily driver are two different things. People pull larger cams all the time when the car is no longer fun to drive. A well chosen smaller cam can produce 95% of the RWHP of a larger less drivable cam. Current fuel cost may also need to be considered if this is your only car. I like medium size cams that make good power and can be driven anywhere and don't waste the springs in 10k miles.

My car makes good numbers and is a blast to drive. Tip-in is insane. It will roast the rears from 2k RPM where it makes 380 RWT and over 400RWT afrom 3k up. I drive the car in DC rush hour and take it on 500 miles trips. Specs in sig.

My vote is a 236-242 112 +0 with your setup. Stay with not too aggressive XE-R lobes. Set it up at 11.0:1-11.2:1 compression and enjoy.

My $.02

people have gone 9's on the stock IRS with auto's and a guy recently cut a 1.5 60' and went 10.1 on the squeeze with an M6 car. The IRS on the goats is pretty tough as long as your not wheel hopping (the biggest killer of rear ends in goats)

i would go with a cam that was specifically designed for a stroker/big cube motor.

for good power and driveability you might want to consider our SS2 cam.

238/244 114lsa 605/612 - we've seen excellent driveability out of this cam, and over 500rwhp on 400+ cube motors (a few through automatics!).

My car has almost all bolt ons and I will be using the LS6 intake and Ported TB for now untill I can afford a 90/90 setup. What kind of HP do you guys think I should be expecting with a setup like this. Thanks for any Help or Info.

My cam I was speced was very similar to this cam and a tad more lift, but a lower LSA... 112, I think... Anyways... I dont think Ill make 500+rwhp and im a M6, but I should be close.

Either MS4 or Gaint a littel rough Idle but not that bad with your M6.
501 RWHP & 472 RWTQ. do you still think the MS3 is way too small. LOL!
For future reference this cam is awesome. it drives so nice around town and pulls crazy hard. Thanks to TSP, CMS, and my buddy Kendall to help making this all come together.
