Thanks guys. Its the L92 block. They have to clearance the block a little today because of the long stroke, so we'll see if the motor will be done today or not.

the shortblock was finished today. Longblock will be done on monday, and install will start sometime tuesday.

Is this in the new shop or the old one? I heard some people had problems with the old machines in the old shop. The new one should be much nicer

So in order to run the LS3 block what additional parts are needed to convert from the LS1?
I was told the following four items for sure:
LS2 Timing Cover
LS2 Valley Cover
LS2 Knock sensors
Knock sensor harness adapter

Is there anything else? Does the LS3 Block have all the holes for the alternator or is it the same as the 6.0L where one holes has to be drilled and tapped?

also u will need LS2 cam pos. sensor
cam pos. sensor harnes
LS2 cam gear

Not sure on the alt.
