New everything + QTP headers = steering linkage does NOT work!!!
Seriously WTF??? I'm trying to get everything put back together from my 402 install and this fitment is just flat out not even close. I'm up to here with this damn headers. They rub the frame on the passenger side and its either the headers work or the steering linkage works on the drivers side. Can't do both. I realize the linkage goes on one way. Its got a new rack and pinion but it looked identical to stock and the linkage does bolt up with the headers out of the picture.
Here's the headers....they look the like F-body headers to me.
I'll see about getting a video or something to show ya whats going on.

I know...and i've heard QTP is NO help at all. I'm not sure if I got a bad set, but I sure am not happy with the quality. My XS headers were much nicer. The welds from the primaries to the flange aren't welded all the way around on these and the polishing job was crap

I know the 1 7/8 stepped to 2 inch kooks I just got were really close to the steering shaft, but the primary of #1 is 2 inches where it goes near the steering shaft. It's tight, to say the least, to the point I had to really grind a part of the k member to get them in there, it was that tight.
The passenger's side just touches the k member too, but not enough to matter. I'm glad the motorplate is going on so the motor will be mounted solid, or it would probably be a problem.
Burkhart k member hopefully will solve all the issues, when I finally get around to ordering it
Your issue is with the headers

I agree with the quality issue. I guess you didn't read my input in this thread about the XS headers above. They were perfect other than they didn't have the good collector. My friend wanted them so I sold them to him in favor of some QTP's. That was a mistake for sure. He's going to come by tuesday so I can look at his clearances.
Now as I was saying too, its not touching the k member at all on either side. On the passenger side, the header is rubbing the actual body.
Look:
I bent it out some, but it really didn't do much good. Its FUBAR

No, that header is off. The amount of pipe before the header starts to turn down is way too much, I just went out and looked at my car after seeing these pic's, there's probably a 1/2 inch of pipe more coming off the flange before the header starts to turn down then what's on my kooks.

I just installed a set of kooks 1 7/8ths and I had some minor fitment probs. I had to grind the kmember on both sides and also the steering linkage. However, the header was touching the lower part of the linkage where it bolts up to the rack. We just grinded that down and all is good.

Here is a picture of my setup with QTP headers.
Judging from your pictures, nothing looks wrong with your header. I think you might have a problem with your aftermarket steering linkage. Look at my steering linkage and how close it is to the bolts that hold up the motor mounts. Mine is noticeably closer than yours. As for your headers TOUCHING YOUR BODY, I would NEVER run it like that, that is a serious fitment issue. Here's what mine looked like, it was touching the K member slightly but i got motor mounts installed.

Thanks man! That helps out a lot. Next best thing to having another car to compare it to! The linkage itself is stock, its the rack and pinion that is not stock. I'm betting on thats the problem. Either way I don't like the headers. I highly doubt I can return them to MPH Motorsports since I bought them a few months ago and they are scratched up now. I'd like to get some ARH's. Sux because I was going to get those but they conviced me on price and they were polished.
Anybody want to buy my QTP's? Seriously! Make me an offer.
