They are virtually identical, except the LS3 intake has that beauty cover whereas the L76 does not. Only the complete assembled intakes (with rails, injectors and TB) were discontinued. There are still plenty of bare intakes available and shipping daily

Doubtful.
The mounting holes for the fuel rails on the LS2/LS3/L76 intakes are wider apart than LS1.
Also LS1 fuel rails are normally set-up to accomodate LS1 length injectors which are much taller than the LS7 injectors found in L76 intakes.
Curvature of a stock LS1 fuel rail and bracket heights on non-stock LS1 fuel rail will be all wrong.

See here
LS2/L76 fuel rail sitting on a FAST LS1 style intake.....notice fuel rail bracket width difference.

The L76 takes the regular MAP sensor like the LS1/LS6/LS2 and it clips in the same way. The LS3 MAP sensor bolts down and does not have the snap-style clip like the others.

I have a few of these map sensors cause I used to work for the company that makes the LS3/L76 Intake. The intake itself is injected molded/lost core in Frankfort KY. Made by Montaplast of NA.
