A lot of it depends on the cam profile.

Good luck with the single roller, but I would swap it out with a double roller.

That's a big cam, if I were to go to something that big, it would #1 be a solid roller, #2 I would definately run a double chain.

I have a single ls2 chain on my car right now, but over the winter I want to make a few changes in the motor while I have it apart. One of them that is on the list, is a double chain for the piece of mind.

I have always run the Cloyes single chain who is the manufacture of the GM LS2 chain. I have run it hard and past 7k many times with no problems. Never even had one to stretch yet. Engine specs are in my sig.

What is involved with getting a double roller to work on an LS2?

It all depends on the application and the cam profile. We do have the Iwis chain for $42 as a great upgrade from the LS2 if you want to run a very strong single. We recommend upgrading to it rather than the LS2!

A double is never bad insurance

Spoke to Mike at Cloyes on Thursday. The new Torrington bearings they received had a 0.030" larger ID and were sloppy on the cam gears that had already been machined, so they had to scrap all of the cam gears and start over. The engineer working it is on vacation, but Mike was estimating around 3 more weeks. Guess its good I put off my installation until next winter.
