Hard to say on the given info. I'd say lift would also be a factor.

With the long-block you've got, the larger cam will make more PEAK power. But it will be very easy to kill the bottom end and mid-range grunt you've got and that is going to take away from the driving experience the truck has now.

Best thing you can do is to have us spec a custom cam for you. Pm me with your email address and I'll send you a survey and we'll come up with a grind to suite your specific needs and configuration.

I agree with Matt as the L92 doesn't seem to like bigger cams but it will probably make more total top end power somewhat for sure. If you know where you want to go with your cam from where you are now you can probably make a good educated decision with your next cam and be happier based on your experience with your current cam like Chris said with a different or custom cam.

Thumbs up

Just remember though that a cam isn't a blower or turbo or something like that and it can only shift power around and not make more than you can really make once you are in the ballpark and once you are limited by rpm or parts. It is also going to affect the driveability which won't really be seen on the dyno on a WOT run.

Basically engines can only make so much tq per inch and turn so much rpm and then that's it. They can only get bigger or turn more rpm after that. Also the peripherals like intake and headers and exhaust and driveline, electric waterpump, underdrive pulleys, lighter wheels and tires and what gears you have etc. all have a big effect on RWHP shown on the dyno.

I am in about your same weight & this cam from SDPC was perfect for mine with lots of low/mid & pulls to 6,500 rpms. I am running stage II L92 heads all manley valves, springs & retainers. Has a sweet idle with headers & my bolt-ons low 12's motor 11.10's on nitrous. Times below where on stock cam/motor before built motor, headers & weight loss.

I know that cam profile. For an L92 headed deal, I would have used that same cam but like this 224/244 .590/.590 114+4 (LSHS/LSHS). Just my 2 cents.
