Texas Speed engines
So far they look like the best to buy from with the options you can get. I'm going to have them build a LS7 427ci based engine with these options.
Diamond pistons, Callies Crank & rods, ARP stud kit, Aluminum block vs. LSX for weight, titanium / stainless valves, upgrade valve springs but not sure on the intake. Not sure if I sould go for the stock or a FAST or a sheet metal intake. I'm having this built for an offroad car so I'll need more torque than HP but still have enough steam in it for haulin' across the desert.
Does anyone have some ideas as for intake manifolds and T-bodies?
Any help would be appreicated.
Thanks in advance.

I'm not saying they are bad because I see that they build quite a few engines for the guys in drag racing and are doing good with them.
I can give them a call since I know Tracy over there.
We're lucky to have a race engine shop of the caliber that we use so close to TSP.
Tracy and the guys build a ton of big HP engines, our little 600hp+ engines are nothing compared to the BBC buildups for the big dog guys. Its nice to know that he is using a set of our PRC 6.2L CNC heads on his own personal engine buildup also.mebuiltit: Unless its some crazy one-off engine, Tracy would probably refer you to one of his biggest customers; TSP, and there is probably one similar on the shelf or currently being built. I did assemble 2 on Friday into longblocks with PRC LS7 heads.
That thing is gonna be a force to recon with at the sand drags
Who are you gonna have do your tin work? My buddy sean @ Jones Fab does some great work. He's located in Upland, CA.
these boxes are now all over the world, and lots of people send them back in for checkovers/repairs/upgrades etc, they are very obliging.
mebuiltit, keep up the good work and keep us posted on progress.
cheers dave.
