Question Those with 6.2 ltr 416ish cid with L92s come in here

Just wondering how those of you running the 6.2 litre based 416/417/418 with ported L92 heads like your set up? Not trying to start the proverbial dyno war but, just curious what rwhp, rwtq and 1/4 mile times have you been getting out of this set up?

Thanks, Jim

I did a solid roller 416 with l92 heads and made just over 750 at the flywheel on motor. Using the GMPP intake of course.

I have one in build at the moment. LS3 (416 forged) 4.070 x 4.0 w/L92 heads and LS3 (L76 manifold). Motor is low compression, dished set-up for 8.9 to 1 compression on 70 cc combustion chamber. Plan is to use some type of turbo boost on it.

The car itself is still in paint and should be done in the next couple of months.

I then install motor and break in the drive train for a few thousand miles and then move onto the turbo fab in the winter.

My motor is a bit bigger at 441 c.i.'s-- it made 536 rwhp and 640 rwtq
(unlocked th350, 8" vert, 12 bolt, 3:73'S and 30" slicks)
It's a hydraulic roller with a stock ported intake.
Times in the sig.

My 428 is slightly larger than the size that you are looking but I am very happy with it. I made 494/492. I am using a small cam for the engine size so that kept the horsepower low but the torque makes it a bunch of fun to drive.

LME 416 with L92/L76 topend. I wish I had known more about the intake limitations whem the motor was built as I'm over-cammed. But I get 26mpg and dyno at 520rwhp. My car went 10.76 @128 first time at the track with new motor/trans/diff/revalved Z51 shocks. I'm happy with it, as I can pull a trailer (enjoy the pic) full of gear in 6th at 1200rpms with no bucking (SDOL) and it will roast the tires well into upper third gear from a roll

Your #s and performance don't seem to bad to me. If you were to do all over again what set up would you install in your vette?

BTW, now I have seen two trailer towing vettes. The other was a 2007 Zo6. LOL!!

Thanks for sharing your info!!

Aww man!
Where were you and your combination when I was looking for a high HP, L92 combos before the twin turbo route that I am tackling. Would you care to give combination specifics? 750 HP in a full track car would make for some low et's!!!!

I would talk with the guys doing all the L92 cam experiments or Patrick G for a more optimized cam.
