Hello, Just to remind you the LS3 will have the 58x relucter ring on the crank and not the 24x ring, your dash board won't work with ecm controller neccesary to run the engine. You will also need the electronic gas pedal as well.

All he needs to do is have it built with the correct reluctor and he's all set. You just need a conversion kit with some harness extensions.

Yep, I carry them as well as a few other vendors. The harness is 46.50 delivered from me the covers are in the $250 range. I can put together a kit for you if you need it right away let me know.

It gets a little interesting. The suggestions above are correct. There is a bit more though.

As well as the reluctor wheel your going to need to change the cam gear. The LS3 uses a 4x and the 2002 PCM needs the 1x. The problem with that is the LS3 uses a 1 Bolt cam gear and you cannot get a 1x cam gear in 1 bolt. The earlier cam gears are 3 bolt. It's a good reason to install a cam at that time. If you purchase the GMPP LS3 480 Crate Engine it has a hot cam installed. Just switch out the cam gear to the 1x and change the reluctor wheel. The injectors will need the adapter harness as well as the extension for the knock sensor and cam sensor wire. I got some from Thunder Racing. You will need a cable throttle body to replace the fly by wire TB. I got one from Holley and it had the cable bracket. Many of the sensors will have to be used from your LS6 such as the knock sensors and crank sensor. Remember the LS3 is a Corvette engine so the water pump and harmonic balancer will need to be changed to your Camaro parts. You will need the Oil Pan and Pickup from your F Body also.

There is a thread with a list of the components needed for the swap. They didn't make it a sticky so it's a pain to search and find. Too many other threads about the LS3 LOL. If you find the thread it's worth the effort.

Good points Robin, I wasnt thinking he'd be using a crate engine but now that I re-read it does look like a possibility. It would be nice if there was a sticky

I would be interested in a kit, however no rush. I will need to sell my ls6 and put back more money. It would be very helpful if you could give me a ballpark estimate of what the entire kit would run me.

alright, with the cam gear and reluctor wheel what would i be looking at $$ wise?

You guys are being a HUGE help please keep it up
