I cant seem the make a solid lifter out of the johnson link bars as the link bar itself is in the way to take them apart. So i set up the dial indicator and degree wheel and simply pushed on the nose of the rocker arm until i found the closet spot on the intake and exhaust valve. Intake came in at .078 and exhaust cam in at .157 clearance. Not sure if i should bother trying to flycut the intakes or not. I could always do it later in the car if i ever changed cams in the future.

I think the closest it come is about 5-10 degrees before or after TDC. Did you include any extra clearance for a head gasket or it looks like you have one on from photo but hard to tell.

yes I was finding the closets ptv around 10 degree give or take a few degrees. I do have the head gasket installed, so those clearance numbers should be pretty close. Im going to go ahead and flycut the intakes side like another .050 just incase I decide to change something in the future or just for peace of mind.
kinda hard to get going on this car as im building a new shop at same time

Since my fly cutter is only 2.150 vs the valve diameter of 2.125 i didn't have enough radial clearance. I scribed a line above the outter edge of the flycut .050 for added clearance.
